In the late 1990’s, Beaver had a “contemporary” front end for the era. The design was to appear aerodynamic. Still, it was a diesel pusher in spite of the massive grill in the front.

Country Coach Intrigue

Country Coach was based in Oregon. They began by converting Flxible coaches to motorhomes before building their own bodies on a chassis by Gillig.

Airstream Land Yacht

Airstream produced a small number of units based on Freightliner’s XC chassis. Built in Jackson Center, Ohio, they were in production for less than four years.

Coachman Cross Country

Coachman, always leaning toward style, has produced a variety of Sports Coach models.

Newmar Dutch Star

Newmar, one of the longest-running, family-owned builders produces the popular Dutch Star model.

Alpine by Western Recreational

Alpine Coach was the popular model of Western Recreational Vehicles. They were based in Oregon along with Country Coach, Beaver, and Safari.

Safari Serengeti

Safari is another brand that met the demise of Oregon-based builders. The Serengeti was not as tall and not as long as some of it’s siblings.

Newmar New Aire

Ahead of it's time in design but out of step with the times since it had no slide, the New Aire featured six-wheel independent suspension, a small size, and rear engine diesel. It saw limited production.

Winnebago Forza

Winnebago, who got the large motorhome market going, has been with this body style for several years. Most recently they have bought Newmar with the intent of helping them gain market share.

Newell Coach

Newell is a custom builder of Class A motorhomes. Though pricey, they always turn heads. Newell, as a motorhome builder, has been at it quite a while.

Entegra Aspire

Entegra, for years a family-owned business in Indiana, is a manufacturer of quality motorhome. This is a rendering of a 2018 model. Entegra sold to Jayco a few years ago.

Roadtrek/Mercedes Sprinter

One of the more popular “small” motorhomes (a Class B - van chassis and body) is the Sprinter. Many upfitters have modified the van to serve as a comfortable cruiser with living amenities. MB set a standard with the Sprinter.

Class C on a Freightliner

Entry into the “Super C” realm developed after diesel pushers had been around for 20 years. Today, they are growing in popularity.

Flxible Visicoach

Flxible Visicoach - produced during the last half of the 1950's, the Visicoach was used as a base for conversion to a motorhome by Country Coach and other upfitters.

GMC PD-4106

GMC Bus and Coach Division produced these units as an update to the venerable PD-4104 that first appeared around 1953. The 4106 began production in 1960.
