Songer ConsultingIn the summer of 2018 I started a Facebook group entitled Newmar Legacy. As the name implies, it is a group for owners of Newmar products. The "Legacy" part means that the group is for owners of older products. As of the spring of 2019 the group has over 230 members. On this page will appear writings specifically related to that group of wonderful Newmar owners.
- Replacing Carpet with Plank Flooring - Let's face it. Carpet wears over time and, sooner or later, it needs to be replaced. To make cleaning the interior easier, using some type of vinyl flooring makes for a good alternative. My wife and I had heard about “luxury vinyl tile” and looked into that as a possibility. What we settled on was a form of COREtec sold by Lowe’s. Finally, after seeing may photos and hearing others say it was easy to do, we dove into replacing our carpet with the waterproof planks. Since no one has documented the process, I thought doing so would be a smart thing to do.
